Religious Observances

The following are some of the main religious holidays observed around the world. Some of them begin at sundown the night before and many move from year to year, but for the people who observe them, they are deeply important. Being aware of the dates can keep you from making scheduling mistakes, but being aware of the rituals surrounding them, and even participating in them when you can, is often a valuable cultural and relationship-building experience. We apologize for the many religions we have not been able to list.
